HRM OHIMEGYE, RECEIVES AGN NATIONAL PRESIDENT, MRSS EMEKA ROLLAS EJEZIE...

THE Ohimegye of Kotonkarfe kingdom in Kogi State, HRM Abdulrasaq Isa Koto today, Tuesday 31st October received the National President, Mssr Emeka Rollas Ejezie and his entourage in his palace in Koto.

In his presentation, the AGN National President, Mssr Emeka Rollas Ejezie, appreciated the king for his love for the theater and practitioners which he believes if emulated by other traditional rulers will go a long way to improve NOLLYWOOD acceptability at community levels. The President added that, on assumption of office in August last year, AGN has started a rebranding process which now has members registering online and has also introduced an insurance policy for practitioners in case of injuries or death while at work.

He called on the traditional rulers whom he described as fathers not to relent in his support for Nollywood.

Steve Ebo, a Nollywood star and one of the Presidential Advisers  who is on the entourage, appreciated the Ohimegye and called on him to consider his palace a home for AGN, he was impressed at the reception and asked him to please get more people to be members of AGN having met some of them at TV College Jos training progrmmes.

Responding, the Ohimegye, HRM Abdulrasaq Isa Koto, welcome the National President and his team and told them that they are always welcome anytime, he appealed for promotion of community Theatre.

HRM said he desired to train more people having sent over fifty of them to training in Lagos, he called to AGN to look at the possibilities of helping to train his people professionally in all departments of the arts to raise the standard of presentation and practices.

The team also had the National Secretary, Comrade Dayo Onibiyo, the State Chairman, Dave Amade, the State Secretary, Prince Ohiaba, the State PRO Adama and Yusuf Michael.

The team was blessed with some raw refreshment materials and pictures were taking.
