Release My Client Now, Barr. Adeyemi Tells Government
It is no longer news that the whereabout of environmental activists Oluwasegun Onibiyo is unknown for five days now, and his lawyer is now asking Government to produce him as he is sure he is being detained in an unknown facility due to what he suspected is a hire wired collaboration with criminal elements and some gullible security agencies, who are involved in charcoal running.
The lawyer said he may be left with no option than to sue Governemnt if his client is not found in 24 hours.
According to him, his client was whisked away by some men in plain cloths believe to be Police officers while he was returning from a three days Village Campaign on Protection of Trees, in Ilorin environs in Kwara state where he has being engagging women to refuse the use of charcoal, educating them on the dangers in the process of making it and of course it's health hazard.
His personal assistant who was with him on the mission, said the men drove dangerously in a Police van with no plate number, around Iponrin town in thier way back, numbering about five and before they could say anything blocked them and took him away, Mall. AbdulRasheed Mohammed, described the gun wielding men as not human in their approach.
The legal practitioner said they have combed all facilities to no avail, and he said they are convinced it is not a case of kidnap but that of conspiracy, claiming that he has top information to indict Government officials, if his client is not released in the next 24 hours.
He added that, another associate of the Activist, Arch. Francis Akinola is leading some spirited individuals and volunteer vigilantes in the search for the Activist.d.
