THE MOTHER OF ALL RALLIES THAT CONFIRMS APC'S FEAR OF LOOMING DEFEAT

 - _Kogi Media and Communications Directorate_

Finally, 14th January 2023 was after all a confirmation of the fact that, the impending defeat of the APC is a reality, going by the crowd that beseeched the confluence stadium in Lokoja, where thousands of residents trooped out irrespective of party colours and those who are not card carrying politician to welcome His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar GCON, his running mate, Dr. I. Authur Okowa and other members of his entourage as they arrived the Confluence stadium, reminding one of the glorious Biblical entry to Jerusalem.

Despite threats to civil servants not to attend the event and the palpable fear of likely attack on the party by the ruling hostile APC in the state, the people trooped out en masse, defiling all odds to grace the ocassion, under the scorching sun as the stadium, has 80% uncovered popular sides.

It was an all time record loss for the APC, as the rally added salt to the several  injuries of the APC with the People's Democratic Party (PDP) gaining the persons of the former state Deputy Governor, H.E Simon Achuba, from Kogi East and Hon. Yahaya Karaku, a strong man of Kogi Central politics, while former Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Hon. Alfa Imam, a respected grassroot mobilizer balanced it from the West of the state, offloading the APC, as he attends his first party function today, having decamped last week.

The arrival of the Presidential candidates of the party was delayed due to bad weather, as the helicopter couldn't land as planned initially and of course due to change in plan of landing at a safer place like the army barrack which was suspected to have being tactitcally turned down by the army authority for fear of drawing the anger of the APC led Federal Government, the team headed for the venue as it wasted no time in engaging the people who were already in high spirit, ready and determined to replace the malfunctioning government of the day, showing their dissatisfactions with the spate of kidnapping in the country, several avoidable deaths, high cost of living, salary payment failures, EFCC tracked state fund's epileptic issues and sadly the current canvass-kissing fuel scarcity and price hike which the APC failed to take back to N50 as promised, but rather moved it from the N89 they met it to the escalated lawless free hike sales of N280 to as much as N400 per litre, when seen.

The incoming President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, specifically  sympathized with the workers in Kogi state over the adabcadabra of their salaries and bail out funds and promised to ensure the dignity of labour is restored for them when voted into office.

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and his team assured the people of its readiness to reshape the economy and get the nation back on track, as it highlights the need to activate the Ajaokuta to functioning pedal, get a working seaport and fix the near-grave situation roads in and around Kogi state, describing the state as very key and essential to the seat of power in Nigeria. Atiku added his irrevocable commitment to making the country a safe place from kidnapping and other insecurity issues.

The people who came from far and near had fun as Atiku and his entourage mounted the roof top bus to  take a ride round the stadium to appreciate the people, accompanied by fantastic different artistic performances.

The list of dignitaries is endless at the event as people came from across the state.

The rally is indeed a key to the victory in February and March elections, which the PDP is leveling on to recover Kogi state and  join in the effort to rescue the nation.
