Dear Executive Governor of Kogi State H.E Alhaji Ahmed Usman OdodoSir,ENDING THE GRIP OF DEATH & MAIMING ON FELELE ROAD, LOKOJA, KOGI STATE, NIGERIA

_30th July, 2025_

Dear Executive Governor of Kogi State
H.E Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo

Sir,
ENDING THE GRIP OF  DEATH & MAIMING ON FELELE ROAD, LOKOJA, KOGI STATE, NIGERIA

The Executive Governor of Kogi State Sir, our amiable and so far performing Governor, it is with tears rolling down our cheeks that we occasioned these lines to you regarding *FELELE ROAD* which obviously, suffers from error from construction and now noticeable, due to exploding population not planned for along that axis, thus making the road appearing CURSED, flying high on agonies, aided by serious technical faults in trucks' brake systems, arising from long drive heat, poor road users’ behavourial attitudes and all of these and others leading to why we  are passionately appealing to you to use your good office to SOLVE these problems and make history in the reference to humanity globally. That, in itself will be an unmatched record in the hall of fame of Governors in Kogi State a d in Nigeria as a nation, for it is also a federal road by extension.

Sadly in this case, Kogi state is a border to ten (10) states in Nigeria and of course to the FCT, making it all inclusive and critical to Nigerians traveling and indeed foreigners too, using the road, where virtually all known race has perished at one time or the other, just for travelling or using that road, a clear case of avoidable WANTON destruction of lives and properties, the road will pass any day for now, as *ROAD OF GATE TO GRAVES.*

We say NO AGAIN, to these cries and pains, today Wednesday 30th of July, 2025 marks the 100th day of our none stop campaign about the road, which in anyways won't stop (still) until it is fixed, and permanently made safe, while we are heavily in prayers that, another sad accident that will attract teeth’s gnashing, bellow of fire, long-face wearing and long speeches won't happen before it is fixed.

We beg you sir, Mr. Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, kindly listen to us, invite us, we have listed solutions that we have made public too, including diagram to fix these problems and we have also called on you and still calling on you to fund a larger gathering of stakeholders, publishing of enlightenment materials and engagement sessions to come together and discuss other solutions possible, as we admit, ours is not the best.

Let us comment you so far, on your giant stride in debt management, payment of salaries and allowances, education and so on, you have indeed being touching sectors in the state and performing creditably well and this is why we desire that your Excellency add this Felele Road Solution to your rising list of army of achievements.

Please sir, note that, CLOSING OF THAT ROAD WON'T STOP THE GORY in anyways, because people will still be on that road when it is opened and may be then, the trucks will fall more easily on that gradient even more faster then when their is heavy traffic, this time jammed by army of trucks, all struggling to navigate, we however, appreciate this as INTERIM MEASURE, therefore, consciously minding the fact that, this closures can only be a temporary solution before the lobbies by truck owners will be ignited and the roads locked down.

It is our prayer again, that you will consider reaching us directly or through the able Commissioner for Works & Housing as well as the Commissioner Finance, Budget and Economic Development, both of whom their offices, are connected to our suggested solutions if adopted. Not even reconstruction that will take elephant money out of the state purse is being proferred, but that, that will rather give more money to the state as further revenue.

We see a great curve here, also for our dear state to improve it's economy via creating new jobs and earnings.

Thank you Mr. Governor and God bless Kogi State and the nation, as I sign for and onbehalf of these people, that you can verify their existence as members of EFTAI, not excluding our student members in our institutions' of higher learning.

We are also humbly DEDICATING this 100th day Campaign to the MEMORIES OF ALL THOSE WHO HAVE DIED OR GOT MAIMED ON FELELE ROAD, for no sin, but for traveling/ walking or using that road. We submit, none living is superior to them, when they were alive!
