The Esau Politicians: Beast of No Nation...
The Esau Politicians: BEAST of no NATION...
(Comrade Dayo Onibiyo)
Nigerian National Democratic Party (NNDP) formed in 1923 remains the first political party in Nigeria, after the Amalgamation of 1914.
The chronicle of the caption above is taken a deep reflection into PROSTITUTION POLITICKING in Nigeria and resurrecting the spirit if Esau who sold his birth right in the Holy books, a sadly-new dawn, we woke up to in the middle of the 4th Republic. This indeed is endemic and cancerous already to the quality of leadership in the supposed most famous black nation called Nigeria!
From there we went on to have several parties in 1960 among which is Action Group AG, Northern Element Progressive Union NEPU, National Council of Nigeria and the Cameroons, NCNC, which later rechristened National Convention of Nigerian Citizens still with NCNC, as the tribal groups too had there own affiliation like Igalla Union, Ebira Union, etc, so cultured a people.
The 2nd Republic in 1979 produced the Unity Party of Nigeria UPN, the National Party of Nigeria NPN, Great Nigerian Peoples Party GNPP and off course the People's Redemption Party PRP, among others.
However, the 3rd Republic was christened as conceived and given birth to by the khaki boys who brought two babies - the Social Democratic Party SDP, and the National Republican Party NRC, yet attempting to reconfigure Nigeria political landscape, sending down N40 billion down the drain.
The 4th Republic started in 1999 and has journeyed to the 8th Republic in 2015 where majority of politicians no longer have PRINCIPLE, and in shameful manners switch parties like their underwear- popularly, called boxers.
It is pathetic to note that ship jumping is now a pride amongst Nigerian youths who are are supposed to be the hope of the Country and the pillar of democracy.
In a minute they have crossed from a party not in power or sinking to a party that newly won an election or looking good to win, but not until they had milked the party they are jettisoning.
While, I have no issues with youths leaving a party to another, I have serious exception to the fact that, despite the present "ideologylessness" (sic) of the parties, they nevertheless don't answer the same name, not same slogan and constitutionally have different modus operandi, taking a cue from the two leading political parties of the day, the PDP in opposition and the APC in ruling position.
To say our fathers way back to 1923, when we will want to call the dark days and the days the finesse of technology and tomorrow-ability were absent could be disciplined to stick to their parties, is quite surprising, while we the youths who represents the greater tomorrow from today can't stand by our words is so, so sad and disheartening, worrisome and it no doubts portends a tomorrowless situation.
I hear people (fools and AGIP Any Government In Power members) saying, it's not ideal to remain in a party that looses election as they must eat! I am also rudely taken aback to ask, if honour has anymore value in our land and if these set of shameless politicians parading themselves as honourable and disguising and masquerading around as peoples representatives? are they worth being entrusted to any public office now and in the future to come?
Quite frankly, the truth be told, Nigerians have been taken for a ride for too long and the lawlessness of the ever desperate powers that be to willing rape our constitution has not helped the ugly situation, as first critically noticed in 2001when an AD Senator who later head the Goodluck midwifed Conference Planning Committee jumped ship to the PDP from AD which was of course, then a helpless western Nigerian based political party.
Today. You will see youths running from parties to parties, in a republic alone, I know a youth who moved from ACN to PDP, fast- forwarded to Labour party and then back to the PDP again... Lol
I am of the position that unstable people are of unstable character, unstable sanity-mind and can't be stable in their conducts as well as decision making, hemce, can't be trusted and should not be entrusted to any public responsibilities through any public office or assignment, they should be rejected, castigated, denied, and made politically castrated as political prostitutes that they are.
The effect clearly starts from here as they don't have any interest of the people at heart.
May I, please ask very frankly, if Politics is a career? The answer from a non-dumb skull is a sound NO, it's not a career but a side way engagement or better still part time.
Okay! Wait further, these rogues will tell you in their myopic thievery acts, that it's indeed a career, do you go to school or go to learn a trade on how to become a Councillor, Senator or Governor? No, absolute no, and it is high time these class of nonentities are put where they belong.
Must you or me or my party or your party win all the time? The answer also in black and white undiluted NO.
A responsible politician who is worth his or her onions goes back to the drawing board to review, replan and strengthen to come back to power, not hobnobbing and becoming beggars at the becks and calls of the power that be, just for a peanut like another Esau, stupid (brainless) Esau's of the 21st Century. At best what do they bring home to their people other than their tearing cursed pockets.
Worse still at the moment we even have degenerated to the lowest dry-valley where some are PDP-APC, 2-face politicians, (fake) or in other climes APC-PDP politicians, some are even APC-PDP-Labour "politihiefcians"; 3-face , that is how much mockery they have made and still making of their (own) life, thinking its Nigeria and Nigerians they are mocking, surely the hands of the clock ticks.
Be a pace setter, say NO TO ESAU POLITICIANS who the foresight great Abami EDA (not imitable) called beast of No Nation, egbekegbe na bad 'people"
