KOGI GOVERNORSHIP 2019
Now The Selling and Buying In The Black Market is Over...
As predicted, the lowest bidder got nothing as those with fine monies at black market time had the day in both the APC and PDP respectively.
While the incumbent Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Yahaya Bello was suspected to have craftily edged out those who would have giving him a run for his money at the primaries through what some called induced screening to save himself money to be used at the general elections, the PDP had dollar rains though collectively put together as paltry and still below poverty line to have sold out another supposed four (4) years, by any right thinking sensible fellow!
It is not a story that H.E Yahaya Adoza Bello the APC flag bearer gave out a hundred thousand naira (N100,000) to delegates with the dealers errornously called leaders further taking off their own share as middle men and in some cases money eventually landed at about seventy thousand naira (70,000) or eight (80,000) or even fifty (50,000) per head to the delicates mistakenly called delegate who were in both cases like in APC and PDP also housed (camped) like fowls.
The fact that Yahaya was smarter here as he tactically reduced the expensive nature of the primaries in his party, may learning from the very expensive one the party ran ran in the last delegates election which produced Late Audu, put together, he must have coughed out to participants nothing less than N4b in the exercise, inclusive the side attractions by the likes of Babatunde Irukera SAN.
For the main opposition party, the PDP, they could not put themselves together to control their spendings as the delicates made between three hundred (300) dollars to two thousand three hundred (2,300) dollars, meaning any delagate who got all the monies would have gotten two thousand , three hundred (2,300) dollars and those who got just the least from the two Wada brothers would have gotten three hundred (300) dollars at minimum and an equivalence of two hundred thousand naira (200,000), as these people were seen hunting around like hungry ducks.
In the PDP, Wada the former Governor was said to have given approximately, a hundred dollars (100) and his rating immediately dropped as his younger brother gave two hundred dollars (200) with a promise of a lady motor bike, both to all delicates who were great stakeholders in the black market racketeering of selling their fortunes as entrusted to them by both party members and society members who should choose a credible candidate for them to decide on at the general elections. The likes of Associate Professor Erico, fizzled into the air as his DG could not even be reached, it became a game for the money bags and money leathers... Lol
At the same primaries, troubled and FG embattled Sen. Dino Melaiye was selective with his own one thousand dollars (1,000) as it was not given across board, he was quoted by an unconfirmed source to have said he only needs about 41% of the votes, same goes for Ibro son whose one thousand dollars (1,000) also did not go round all, but most of the delicates say about 80% got, resting on his father's political stroke, which ultimately failed.
If you go by the voting pattern and results, less the "missing" 247 votes, the highest bidder did carried the day, a lady motor bike could go for as much as N180,000 + and a a naira equivalence of N170,000 will give you a total of N350,000 as offered by the man who eventually won the PDP race, which is in the neighborhood of 1,000 dollars equivalence selectively offered by Ibro and Dino, of course the fact that the "delegates" hope to get the bike may just be the master stroke and a kicking factor as they were reportedly shamefully seen beseeching the venue where the bikes were displayed after voting to collect their own, only to be told that, they are yet to decide those who voted them, while the next offer of straight 1,000 by Ibro was all some needed to shun the supposed promised bike which may after all not come. Sounds logical and another reasoning level of the black men in the black market.
Sadly, these same people in the APC and PDP selling votes, called delegates are indeed nothing but rabble rousers and joy killers who threw cautions to the wind and sold their fortune for another four years for the muzzle of just fufu! Clearly the future of Kogi State will ask them and their unborn generations as the Lord liveth, but for those who voted on conscience, may it remain well with them, if any.
It's so paradoxical that they will join other innocent and unsuspecting citizens to condemn those destroying this nation or those looting this country or killing Kogi State, by calling them names, and even cursing them, I hope they know that having SOLD their votes entrusted in their CARES they are nothing but ROGUES and NATION DESTROYERS, who ultimately will be destroyed by God in His infinite mercies. Ameen/ Amen.
Let such vote sellers remain sad and unprogressive for joining in the cash and carry abnormal backward politicking in Nigeria.
Putting all these resources together, the PDP primaries would all together have expended over a N6b and making a total of almost N11b gone into Governorship primaries in Kogi State when you add up the costs of organizing, security, accommodation and other logistics on both sides, safely put APC (45%) and PDP (55%) plundered resources, just for primaries, so what do we really expect at the General Elections, hmmmmmm!!!
I am pissed because the two (2) primaries actually did not throw up realities but MONEY INFLUENCE, and my deduction from this is that the, so called elites are yet to participate in politics, it is still largely left in the hands of those living in abject poverty below the UN poverty like and suffering from poverty of the brain (inability to think right) who can not VOTE ON MERIT but must sell their VOTES to try to SURVIVE, these masquerade-political touts are doing this nation no good, and as much as those enlightened will not be a parttaker, our country will continue to go down the drain, where the best hands are not midwifed at primaries for the general public to vote for, how do you then get the right candidate to win an election, it is a process and those with conscience must rise, and rise now.
Have you asked yourself if the likes of Awolowo would have ever gotten to position to have moved the West of Nigeria to where it is today?
Safe to say, if these were the kind of "voters" then, the answer would have been absolute NO, Awo will never have won any election or the Ziks, or the Sadaunas, No and No and No. Where are the men and women of honour, why hideth thou?
This is indeed a challenging-clarion call to those with foresight and are pained by Nigeria's cancerous leadership plight to buckle up and join the participatory process of politicking so that we can change the slide Nigeria is sinking to.
The task ahead is enormous and in another four (4) years the preparations can start from now...
Let me shock you, that except the masses, the general voters at the General Elections can ignore money, I mean depart from what this black marketers have done, I don't see anything spectacular happening, as they may also join the black marketers at in their primaries' acts, to vote the candidate and party with the HIGHEST OFFER, that is the junction we are right now, and that is the fact...
However, who says God can't.
