CHRONICLES OF RELIEF IN LOKOJA AS PDP KOGI STATE STORMS LOKOJA TO ROUND OFF ITS KOGI WEST TOWN HALL MEETINGS- Kogi PDP

It was joy all the way as party fateful and people of lokoja thronged the General Tunde Ogbeha (rtd) GRA residence to round off its one week long Town Hall meetings with party stakeholders, having commenced the exercise on May 31st in Isanlu, Yagba Federal Constituency.
As usual, the state team was led by Hon. Sam Ranti Abenemi, the state Deputy Chairman of the party, who arrived in company of Bar. Alfred Bello, party Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer- Prince Tunde Agbana, the Secretary- Hon. F. Yahaya, Women Leader- Mrs Olori Magret Orebiyi, Publicity Secretary- Hon Bode Ogunmola, Ex- Officio, Mrs. Dauda, and state Director Media and Communication- Comrade Dayo Onibiyo.

The state Deputy Chairman, once again appreciated all party members and thanked them for their preparedness for the LG election that was fixed but never held. He eulogized them and assured the party that those appointed in the LGAs are mere appointees of the Governor and not the people's representative, but was worried why, they the APC are scared to go to the polls, despite being in Government.

While the host had in attendance Hon. No case, Hon. Abdulrahaman Balga- capacity, Hon. Shaaba- MFHR representing Lokoja/Koto Federal Constituency, Hon. Aminu, Hon Shetima Agbogun, Hon. Yabagi Bologi, Alhaji Bawa, Hon. Danladi Bababudon- fmr KGHOA member, all the two LGA Chairmen and all ward Chairmen and Excos.
The meeting was not any different from the other two previous Constituencies but added colours in term of discuss and attendance.
Members of the party are more resolved than before to remain committed to the party and to close ranks.
Hon. Prince Tunde Agbana, state Asst. TreasurerOn the forthcoming Voters Review Exercise, slated for June 28th, all members were asked to attend and mobilize more people to register.
Speaking on the electoral act, Hon. Shaaba assured that the NASS is united on getting the Electoral Act signed and put in effect, but calls on all party members and Nigerians to put their weight behind the reform as that is the only way to guarantee a transparent election come 2023.
Bar. Alfred Bello enjoined members to embrace peace and ensure that the past is put behind them. While the party Secretary, charged the party to use the next opportunities to do there best to uphold credibility and reward fateful party members and shun sycophants.
The idea of a few or same set of people cornering or sharing what comes to the party from elected party members or and some leaders to the party ending most times in the hands of the receivers are beneficiaries, rather than have it go round members was condemned.
In the main time, speakers all agreed in the need to accept estranged or decampees back to the fold, but warned on the need for party loyalty that must not be compromised.
The youths were not left out, as well as the women, whose stake were raised at the event by the turnout and party response to their demands.
The women took their turn to entertain the audience to display their joy that knows no bound about the meeting, which no doubt sets a new tone for the party.
Accordingly, the meeting ended on a note of exchange of pleasantries.
