In continuation of his visits for consultations and interactions,  the Chairman today, being the third day of the week long activities, met with the members of staff of the institution in a well attended event on the school campus.
The Chairman, said "with a deep sense of honour and responsibility to our great country, Nigeria, I remain eternally grateful to Mr. President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, His Excellency Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu _GCFR_ for counting me worthy for this appointment, which is now affording me the ample opportunity to drive a working  vision for this great institution.
He challenged the staff members to join him and other council members to seize this opportunity to shape the future of the institution, uphold the values of excellence, integrity, and work together towards academic growth that will in turn impact on the community.

The Chairman, expressed his interest in collaborating with every member of staff, as he was quoted to have said "I am tapping into your collective experience, expertise and commitment to lead  our college to greater success, as I enjoin every member to embrace this opportunity with open hearts, minds, and the willingness to make a positive difference in the lives of our students and the broader community we are serving" , he noted that, harmonious and conducive environment is needed to foster excellent teaching, research and overall academic development. 
While bringing his address to a close and in response to the way and manner he was joyfully ushered in, he laid part of his dream for the college as one that will ensure that teachers and students engage in respectful and collaborative relationship, which is good for promoting a positive learning atmosphere, which can only be complemented by the academic to maintain healthy behavioural pattern that recognizes mutual respect, open communication, and a dedication to academic excellence.

In continuation of the Courtesy Visits and Consultations by the Chairman of the Federal College of Education Pankshin and other Board members, the team today visited the palace of the Ngolong Ngas, His Royal Majesty, Nde Jika Golit, who hosted the team.

The Chairmen of Pankshin LG, Hon Samuel Shangka Go'ar and Kanke LG, Hon Shikir Caleb joined other well-meaning dignitaries and His Royal Majesty to receive the team.
The Chairman, who is the leader of the team, told His Royal Majesty and other dignitaries of their desire to move the institution to greater heights where all are winners for quality Education, standard studentry and healthy community relationships. Hon. Funsho Olumoko appreciated the traditional ruler for finding time to attend to him and the board members, assuring them of their willingness to carry them along as traditional head and Local Government heads, having served too as Chairman for Ijumu LGA in Kogi state.
The Royal father described the visit as a valuable one that sends a good signal of a team being ready to work with all stakeholders.
To express his acceptance and readiness to work with the team, and encourage them, His Royal Majesty conferred Traditional Citizenship on Hon. Funsho Olumoko.
The Chairmen of Pankshin and Kanke Local Governments expressed their confidence in the ability of the team to take the college to the next level.

The recently inaugurated Governing Council of the Federal College of Education, Pankshin in Plateau state, today paid courtesy visit on the Governor of the host state, Plateau state, His Excellency Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang in Plateau state Government house, Jos along with members of the board.

Also on ground to receive the team was Her Excellency, Mrs. Josephine Piyo, the Deputy Governor of the state, the Head of Service, Mrs Rauta Dakok and other Commissioners, as well as too Government functionaries.
In his speech, the Kogi born Chairman of the Board, Honourable Funsho Olumoko (FNIMN), told the Governor that he and his team are eager to share their visions, aimed at advancing the institution's course, as they seek His Excellency's support, and are looking forward to discussing on how to collaborate with state government to ensure the growth and success of the institution which ultimately will be for the benefits of our students and the community at large.
In part, the Chairman was quoted as saying "Just like Oliver Twist, we at the Federal College of Education in Pankshin will always strive to push boundaries and seek further assistance in infrastructure, training facilities, technology, security and other innovations that will propel the college’s mission forward"
While assuring, His Excellency of their continued cooperation and support for the institution, the Chairman, commended the Governor for his effort thus far and appealed to him for his continued support and guidance, which will no doubt enable them to create conducive environment for learning and growth. 

He told the Governor that, they are unequivocally committed to ensuring that the students have access to the best resources and opportunities which will be targeted at ensuring academic excellence and community impact. 
In his response, His Excellency, expressed his deep appreciation to the team for deeming it fit, to pay him and good people of Plateau state a courtesy visit, noting that, it is a sign of good beginning. H.E Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang , therefore, assured the Chairman and his team of Government's support and collaborations, to ensure they achieve remarkable milestones in advancing academic growth and community development. 

The Governor, thereafter, confer an award on Honourable Funsho, whom he said he is delighted in and willing to support in all ramifications to succeed.
In another development, the Chairman also led his team to the Honourable Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Gabriel Dawan, where the Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Madaki Isa Ajiji and other Principal Officers of the Assembly joined to received them.

The Speaker expressed their willingness to offer the team, unparalleled support, saying their visit was not only timely but their points well laid, setting a road map for development.
The team exchanged pleasantries, signed the visitors books and pictures were taken to round off the events.

The newly appointed Chairman for Federal College of Education, Pankshin in Plateau State has formally presented his letter of engagement by the Federal Government of Nigeria to the Executive Governor of the state, His Excellency Alhaji Ododo Usman Ahmed.



Presenting the letter to His Excellency, Honourable Funsho Olumoko who served as the Director General of the Ododo/Salifu Governorship Campaign Council for Kogi West, was full of appreciation to His Excellency and all other party leaders, even as he referenced the pioneering role of the immediate past Governor of the State, His Excellency (Alhaji) Dr. Yahaya Adoza Bello CON, the white lion.

Olumoko, reiterated his commitment to a "united Kogi State" that, will make.progress in all facets  of life as he repeated the clarion call on all to support Governor Ododo Usman Ahmed, whom he commended for his positive and progressive effort thus far and charges him to keep doing good.

The Governor appreciated, the heart of gratefulness and humility displayed by the newly appointed Council Chairman and promised his support at any time needed, encouraging him to go and excel and do even more for the management and  people of FCE Pankshin, trusting "Olumoko, will succeed."

The Federal Government of Nigeria, under the leadership of His Excellency, Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, today in Abuja formally inaugurated all Council Chairmen and Board members, that were  appointed recently to kick start them for the tasks ahead of them.


The event which took place at the National University Commission Auditorium in Maitama, Abuja was well attended by friends, families, top politicians, institutions and versatile educarion giants despite the short notice granted accreditation and the event proper.

The Honourable Minister for Education, Professor (Alhaji) Tahir Mamman CON, SAN who stood in for the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Commander In Chief of the Armed Forces, charged the team of egg heads to do all within their best to move our institutions forward and encourage creativity, that will add values to our nation.

Honourable Funsho Olumoko, who was the Director General for Kogi West Ododo/Salifu Governorship Campaign in last election in Kogi State, described the task as a challenge that he has accepted, so he can do more and serve his father land, assuring the good people of Federal College of Education Pankshin of great times ahead. He was appointed as the Chairman of the Governing Council of the institution along with others to serve as Members.

The event was followed by the commencement of a two-day retreat at the National Council for Colleges of Education (NCCE) Auditorium, led by the Executive Secretary of NCCE, Professor Paulinus Chijioke Okwelle.


Honourable Olumoko, expressed his appreciation to the President, H.E Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR for the opportunity given to him, the Governor of the State, His Excellency Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman, all other party leaders, elders, stalwarts and the good people of Kogi State for their support, promising not to let them down.
