The Federal Government of Nigeria, under the leadership of His Excellency, Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, today in Abuja formally inaugurated all Council Chairmen and Board members, that were appointed recently to kick start them for the tasks ahead of them.
The event which took place at the National University Commission Auditorium in Maitama, Abuja was well attended by friends, families, top politicians, institutions and versatile educarion giants despite the short notice granted accreditation and the event proper.
The Honourable Minister for Education, Professor (Alhaji) Tahir Mamman CON, SAN who stood in for the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Commander In Chief of the Armed Forces, charged the team of egg heads to do all within their best to move our institutions forward and encourage creativity, that will add values to our nation.
Honourable Funsho Olumoko, who was the Director General for Kogi West Ododo/Salifu Governorship Campaign in last election in Kogi State, described the task as a challenge that he has accepted, so he can do more and serve his father land, assuring the good people of Federal College of Education Pankshin of great times ahead. He was appointed as the Chairman of the Governing Council of the institution along with others to serve as Members.
The event was followed by the commencement of a two-day retreat at the National Council for Colleges of Education (NCCE) Auditorium, led by the Executive Secretary of NCCE, Professor Paulinus Chijioke Okwelle.
Honourable Olumoko, expressed his appreciation to the President, H.E Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR for the opportunity given to him, the Governor of the State, His Excellency Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman, all other party leaders, elders, stalwarts and the good people of Kogi State for their support, promising not to let them down.
