*G-60 Support Groups Advice Kogi State Government On Challenging The Incoming LGA Leadership On Areas Of Focus*

The amalgamation of Support Groups, otherwise known as G-60 Support Groups, that joined hands to work for the emergence of APC candidate, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman, has advised Government on the need to  challenge the incoming LG Leadership in areas of Food Security, Security, Access and Creativity, which it said, is necessary going by unfolding events in Nigeria as triggered by the removal.of fuel subsidy and for the purpose of hitting the ground running.

The group at the end of its 3-Day Technical Session On New LG Deliverables, maintained that, food insecurity is worse than any form of insecurity and called for it to be tackled headlong, if the state must enjoy foundational repositioning.

In its submission, the group  asked for all year round access to leadership and physical access to farm roads.

Going forward, it recommended the urgent need to deemphasize the attitude of revenue officers having to chase around petty traders on market days as a means of revenue generation and rather pushed for overhauling agricultural potentials in each LGA domains, which calls for looking inward and thinking outside the box, which will thus, make government popular as against the unpopular method, which it describes as not only archaic but unprofitable.

Concluding, the group asked that, information management be thoroughly reviewed from timely disemination at management instances to  encourage pre-emptive security instead of combative security system.
